Role Purpose:
The role purpose of the Digital Business Analyst at Ardent is to turn insights into actionable improvements using digital, data, and better processes. The aim is to support Ardent's mission to deliver sustainable digital change that matters, ensuring that changes provide real, practical value. This involves understanding current ways of working, designing improved future-state processes, and focusing on delivery, adoption, and outcomes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and enable teams and clients to concentrate on what truly matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead AS-IS and TO-BE Analysis:
* Conduct comprehensive AS-IS analysis to understand current processes and workflows within the organization.
* Develop detailed TO-BE process maps that outline improved future-state processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and service enhancements.
Shape Clear Problem Statements:
* Work closely with stakeholders to identify and define clear problem statements.
* Design pragmatic, value-led solutions that address these problems, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Support Digital and Transformation Initiatives:
* Collaborate with digital teams and business units to support various digital and transformation initiatives.
* Provide hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
Drive Adoption Through Change Activities:
* Plan and execute change management activities to drive adoption of new processes and solutions.
* Engage with teams to ensure they understand and embrace the changes, facilitating smooth transitions and sustained improvements.
Use Data to Baseline Performance:
* Utilize data analytics to establish baseline performance metrics.
* Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of implemented changes and track benefits over time.
Facilitate Workshops and Engage Senior Stakeholders:
* Organize and lead workshops to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
* Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate the value and impact of proposed changes, fostering support and collaboration.
Key Competencies, Skills & Experience:
Solid Background in Business Analysis:
* Demonstrated experience in business analysis, digital transformation, and process improvement, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Strong AS-IS/TO-BE Process Mapping Skills:
* Expertise in conducting AS-IS and TO-BE process mapping and analysis, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Experience in Functional Specification Writing:
* Skilled in writing functional specifications, including user stories and acceptance criteria, to clearly communicate requirements to technical and delivery teams.
Proficiency with Data to Inform Decisions:
* Comfortable working with data to inform decision-making processes and measure the impact of changes, using analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Excellent Stakeholder Engagement Skills:
* Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, fostering collaboration and support.
Familiarity with Relevant Tools:
* Proficient in using tools such as M365, Power BI, Miro/Visio, Jira, or Azure DevOps to support analysis, documentation, and project management.
Experience in Infrastructure, Utilities, or Regulated Environments (Desirable):
* Previous experience working in infrastructure, utilities, or regulated environments, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of these sectors.
Change or Transformation Qualifications (Desirable):
* Relevant qualifications in change or transformation methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) to support structured change management practices.
Exposure to Power Platform or Workflow Automation (Desirable):
* Familiarity with Power Platform or other workflow automation tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency through automation.
