About The Role
As a Social Worker within the Children and Family Services team, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting assessments and identifying the needs of children and their families.
* Providing appropriate interventions and support to ensure the best outcomes for children.
* Working in partnership with other professionals, agencies, and families to promote the welfare of children.
* Maintaining accurate and timely records, including case notes and reports.
* Attending court hearings and providing evidence when required.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
* Experience working in a children and family services environment, ideally within a local authority.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding practices.
* Excellent assessment, intervention, and report writing skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritise tasks.
* Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced and challenging environment.
