Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant level 3 qualification, have experience working with children and a strong understanding of the EYFS. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for fostering children's development through play-based learning and effective communication with both children and parents.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
* Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and expression.
* Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, sleep times, and transitions between activities.
* Build strong relationships with children and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided in the nursery.
Skills
* Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS.
* Level 3 qualification in Early years.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Leadership qualities to guide and inspire both children and fellow staff members.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous as we are a village based setting.
* A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning experiences.
