This high-dependency school provides full in-house training, hands-on support, and mentoring from experienced professionals. You'll be part of a welcoming and supportive team, delivering engaging, interest-based learning that goes far beyond traditional classroom methods.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing individualised support on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis using tailored, practical learning approaches
* Delivering creative lessons based on student interests - from learning Maths through Monopoly to teaching Geography in the community
* Assisting with personal care when required (full training provided)
* Using evidence-based approaches such as ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and PECs (Picture Exchange Communication Systems)
* Supporting students in developing key life skills, independence, and confidence
* Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and pupil-centred environment at all times
What We're Looking For
* A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
* Calm, adaptable, and creative problem-solver with strong communication skills
* Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
* Interest in SEN, youth work, psychology, gaming, or IT is a bonus - but not essential
* Willingness to complete safeguarding and induction training before starting
* Physical readiness for a role that involves movement, activity, and engagement (a short fitness questionnaire will be completed)
