Overview
An experienced Manufacturing Engineer with practice of developing and implementing New Products and general business improvements to maximise production, profitability and customer service within an Aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable history working as a manufacturing engineer, ideally in an Aerospace environment or other regulated industry as well as excellent communication skills. The role requires a self motivated individual who is able to work both in a team, but also on a sole project and can make effective decisions to maximise production effectiveness.
Responsibilities
* Compile Work Instructions and Travellers
* Create Process Flow Plans
* Support production operations
* Train operators on new processes
* Take part in NCR & MRB activities
* Ensure close out of relevant RCCA, supporting production
* Review Specifications
* To support the Engineering Manager in various tasks
* Other duties as required, Contributes to risk assessments and safe working practices.
* Complies with all safety policies and procedures whilst actively participating in the efforts to create and maintain a zero harm work place culture.
* Challenges non-compliant employees on safety policies and procedures. Reports to senior management if necessary.
* Attends safety training courses as required.
* Actively seeks out and identifies Continuous Improvement Opportunities
* Liaises with relevant departments as required.
* Actively participates in cross function projects to ensure that goals are achieved and solutions implemented.
* Manufacturing Engineering is a support activity to production operations, this role will be a mix of office and shopfloor based.
* Works effectively as part of a team or using own initiative in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Actively engages in discussions and openly supports team decisions.

Qualifications
* Experience in Aerospace or other regulated Engineering environment - Essential
* Experience within Composite Manufacturing - Highly Desirable
* Degree/HNC Engineering and/or Equivalent professional qualification - Desirable
* Experience with continuous improvement techniques - Essential
* Computer literate (MS Office proficient) - Essential
