Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Long term
Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work within a SEND school in Yorkshire.
This school provides education and care for pupils aged 3 to 16 years who have a range of specific learning difficulties, therefore knowledge of EHCP's is vital. The school operates across two sites - a primary site and a secondary site - both offering a warm and inclusive community of staff and students.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
* Have relevant experience - with SEND or vulnerable individuals
* Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
* Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
* Be flexible and resilient
* Possess good classroom skills
