Overview

Hold an HR Coordinator role at Cancer Research UK (CRUK). The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based in Stratford, London, with full‑time hours (35 hours per week) and high flexibility (1–2 days in‑office).


Responsibilities

* Deliver end‑to‑end employee lifecycle support across the People Services team, including admission, transfers, and exits.
* Resolve manager and employee queries on HR policies and procedures promptly and accurately.
* Process payroll data, contract variations, leavers, family‑friendly leave, and other HR system entries via Workday.
* Monitor SLA compliance, track contract expiration and right‑to‑work review dates, and flag issues to managers.
* Administer right‑to‑work eligibility, visa, and criminal record checks.
* Provide training and guidance on HR systems, policies, and processes to staff and junior team members.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support special projects under the HR operational plan.


Qualifications

* Experience as an HR Administrator or Coordinator in a high‑volume, fast‑paced HR Shared Service Centre (≈4 000 employees).
* Deep knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, HR policies, legislation, and system administration.
* Strong customer service orientation and collaborative mindset.
* Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and record‑keeping skills.
* Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks against deadlines.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both in‑person and virtually.
* Problem‑solving mindset, continuous‑improvement attitude, and ability to drive process improvements.
