To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to come and join our team at our Sittingbourne factory in Sittingbourne, ME10 3SL
Specific responsibilities include:
Assisting The Maintenance Supervisor in his duties to safely coordinate, plan and implement effective
maintenance systems for the Sittingbourne operation.
Initiating repairs to plant and machinery in a responsive manner, in order to ensure continuity of production.
Ensuring all compliant checks & undertake PPM as per maintenance program carrying out effectively and on
time keeping accurate records for reference.
Safely planning, prioritising and implementing agreed corrective actions within the maintenance role that arise
in the day to day operation of the site and from improvement initiatives and meetings.
Ensure that the main plant of the site (batching, mixing and concrete delivery) is prioritised and maintained to
a high standard to provide an ongoing reliable supply of concrete to all machines.
Coordinating, control and direct contractors working on site to carry out their required work in a safe and
effective manner.
T aking a proactive role in achieving and where possible exceeding standards and performance in Health and
Safety, Financial, Quality and Customer Service and Environmental requirements of the business.
Assisting the organising of essential spares as efficiently and effectively as required using supply lead times,
cost and risk analysis to determine the spares purchased.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
I ndustry Recognised Qualifications such as Mechanical/Electrical: NVQ level 3, City & Guilds Pt 1 & 2
Sound Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Knowledge, such as Hydraulics and Pneumatics, bench fitting.
Production Knowledge Experience
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Including
