An busy construction plant operation is expanding its workshop team due to continued workload growth. The workshops support a large fleet of earthmoving equipment and offer a structured environment with strong technical support and development opportunities.
Role
This is a workshop-based engineering role focused on servicing, repairs and preparation of heavy plant machinery.
Key Responsibilities
* Pre-delivery inspections of new machines
* Routine servicing and planned maintenance
* Fault‑finding and mechanical repairs
* Major component replacement and machine modifications
* Supporting apprentices within the workshop
* Completing accurate jobsheets and documentation
* Maintaining high health and safety standards
About You
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline (or Level 2 working towards Level 3)
* Experience working on heavy plant preferred
* HGV or agricultural background considered
* Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault‑finding skills
* Comfortable working in a team‑based workshop environment
* Full UK driving licence
