We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially focused Store Manager to lead a high-profile retail store in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate retail leader to manage a large-format, fast-paced environment with responsibility for a team of approximately 25 managers and team members.
We are looking for a driven Store Manager with strong people leadership skills, a hands-on management style, and a proven background in delivering sales growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience within a high-volume retail environment.
The Role
As Store Manager, you will take full ownership of store performance, leading from the front to deliver against sales targets, KPI performance, visual merchandising standards, customer service expectations, and operational compliance.
You will inspire, coach, and develop your management team while creating a positive, high-energy culture focused on accountability, engagement, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities
* Drive store sales performance and achieve/exceed KPIs and commercial targets
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of circa 25 managers and team members
* Deliver exceptional customer service and create a customer-first culture
* Analyse sales reports, commercial data, and business trends to maximise performance
* Ensure excellence in visual merchandising, stock control, and store presentation
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, payroll budgets, and workforce planning
* Recruit, coach, mentor, and retain top retail talent
* Build succession plans and support career development within the management team
* Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, cash handling, and operational procedures
* Maintain high standards across all areas of retail operations
* Drive local marketing initiatives and customer engagement opportunities
* Lead by example with a hands-on and visible management approach
About You
* Proven experience as a Store Manager within retail
* Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced retail environment
* Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering sales growth
* Passionate about customer experience and team development
* Skilled in coaching, performance management, and succession planning
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Confident managing KPIs, retail operations, staffing, and compliance
* Experience within fashion, footwear, sports, lifestyle, big box, or high-volume retail environments would be advantageous
* Flexible and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a dynamic retail business
