To oversee the running of the London branch, ensuring smooth and profitable operations. Responsible for managing sales activities and achieving London/South sales targets. Key Objectives & Responsibilities Objective 1 Ensure branch sales targets are met and margins are maintained Drive branch sales performance to meet and exceed targets. Monitor profit margins and ensure financial goals are achieved. Objective 2 Branch Management Set and cascade targets/KPIs to the branch team; ensure effective processes support staff in achieving these goals. Assess team performance via regular reviews and take corrective actions when necessary. Lead, motivate, and develop staff, promoting practical improvements in solution delivery. Ensure staff receive up-to-date training, including product and sales training, and external courses to maintain high competence. Conduct annual staff appraisals and performance recordings. Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers, exploring new product and supplier opportunities. Ensure customer delivery requirements are met. Manage recruitment to fill vacant positions efficiently. Oversee HR matters such as lateness, absences, and time off in compliance with company guidelines. Ensure day-to-day operations and documentation comply with ISO 9001 requirements, supporting annual audits. Maintain all equipment logs to ISO 9001 standards. Objective 3 Sales Enquiries Handle customer enquiries efficiently and ensure timely follow-up of quotations. Conduct site/customer visits as needed. Ensure all orders and enquiries meet customer expectations while maintaining branch margin. Support Business Development Managers/Hybrid Sales as required. Stay informed on new supplier products and innovations; make recommendations for sales opportunities. Monitor competition and propose new branch activities. Ensure positive customer experiences across the branch. Objective 4 Staff Workloads Prioritize and manage the workload and time of all branch staff effectively. Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate. Maintain tidy desks and minimize unnecessary paperwork throughout the branch. Discuss problem areas and solutions in monthly team meetings, ensuring key actions are implemented.
