The role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be involved in the commercial management of contracts and sub-contracts across mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services. The role is focused on maintaining sound financial control and robust contract administration to support successful project outcomes. You'll operate within a collaborative commercial team with opportunities to broaden your experience over time.
What you'll be doing
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Managing contract and subcontract administration, including tender enquiries and associated documentation.
- Supporting the preparation, review and agreement of contract documentation and variations.
- Assisting with cost control, cost optimisation activities and the preparation of financial reports.
- Contributing to the monitoring of contract performance against commercial targets.
- Providing commercial support to senior colleagues across different business streams.
What we're looking for
- Experience in a quantity surveying or commercial role, ideally within construction or engineering.
- Understanding of contract and subcontract administration, including tender processes and documentation.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with project teams, suppliers and clients.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to learn from senior commercial staff and develop within the role.
