Job Description
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
A growing specialist insurance group is seeking a qualified Insurance Accountant to join its Group Finance team. The business manages legacy insurance portfolios across multiple classes and operates across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.
This role offers broad exposure across financial and regulatory reporting, with involvement in management accounts, statutory reporting and regulatory returns across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post accounting journals and maintain ledgers
* Reconcile bank and investment accounts
* Assist with quarterly management accounts and reporting
* Support preparation of statutory financial statements (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
* Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns
* Liaise with auditors, actuaries and external stakeholders
* Support budgeting and cashflow forecasting
* Maintain financial controls and ensure reporting deadlines are met
Requirements
* ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
* 3+ years' experience in insurance finance
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
* Proactive, organised and able to work in a small team environment
