A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a proactive and driven Health & Safety Advisor to support the safe delivery of wind farm, substation, battery storage, and wider civil engineering projects across the North East of England. You’ll join a forward-thinking organisation that: Values strong safety leadership Invests in people and long-term development Offers genuine career progression within the renewable energy sector The Role Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety policies across multiple live sites Carry out site inspections, audits, and task-specific risk assessments Monitor compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures Deliver engaging toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to promote a proactive, positive safety culture Support incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented The Requirements Experience in a Health & Safety role within civil engineering, renewables, or heavy infrastructure Strong on-site experience on wind farms, substations, or battery storage projects Solid knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice Confident communicator able to influence safe behaviours at all levels Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team player Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) is desirable but not essential What’s in It for You?
