About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our established and expanding business. You will lead health & safety for our North West region, overseeing all HSQE matters across projects and contracts.
Business Unit
You will join a team of SHEQ professionals supporting business units, projects, and contracts across the UK, specializing in Health, Safety, Quality & Environment.
Responsibilities
1. Provide input during all project stages from pre-qualification to completion.
2. Conduct site safety inspections.
3. Ensure corrective actions from inspections are addressed for continuous safety improvement.
4. Liaise with client representatives and regulatory authorities.
5. Report and investigate accidents and incidents.
6. Facilitate and attend safety meetings.
7. Provide in-house safety training.
8. Support the development of a consistent health and safety approach across the business.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager in rail and civil engineering projects.
2. Relevant qualification in Health & Safety (Degree/Diploma/HNC/HND).
3. Experience working in rail project environments.
4. Chartered or working towards chartered status (IOSH).
