Job Description
3. Administration & OrganisationOversee daily running of the school office and ensure smooth operations.Manage and maintain accurate school records, databases, and pupil files (including safeguarding-sensitive information).Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for staff, governors, and external agencies.Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries from parents, carers, and outside organisations.
4. Finance & ResourcesAssist with school budgets, procurement, and financial record-keeping.Manage petty cash, invoices, and ordering of supplies/resources.Ensure value for money when purchasing and liaise with suppliers/contractors.
5. HR & Staff SupportMaintain staff records, including DBS checks, absences, and training logs.Coordinate staff recruitment administration and induction.Support senior leaders with staff timetables, cover arrangements, and compliance paperwork.
6. SEN-Specific SupportEnsure all documentation relating to EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and SEN reviews are properly filed and accessible.Support communication between SENCO, parents, and external professionals.Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
7. Compliance & SafeguardingMaintain safeguarding records in line with statutory requirements.Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection policies.Support the Headteacher and DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) with safeguarding admin.
8. School Community & CommunicationAct as a first point of contact for parents and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment.Coordinate school communications (letters, newsletters, website updates).Support organisation of meetings, events, and parent consultations.
