Junior Technical Support Engineer
We are looking to fill the post of a Junior Technical Support Engineer.
The Medical Device Service supports users of medical equipment across all our hospital sites within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust.
You will be working in a multi‑professional Medical Device Service (MDS), with teams delivering technical engineering, design, innovation and research, governance, library and training services across a number of Care Organisations and community teams.
Responsibilities
* Support the department's responsibility for the maintenance, repair and sub‑contractor management of medical equipment, providing first‑line support to users to optimise system uptime.
* Provide technical knowledge and support for the implementation and delivery of a long‑term operational plan for cost‑effective and efficient management and deployment of safe medical devices.
* Work toward achieving compliance levels for medical device repair and maintenance, including downtime, and ensure systems are available to enable clinical teams to track progress with maintenance and repair of their devices.
Qualifications
* Minimum of an HNC in Electronics Engineering or a Clinical Engineering qualification.
* Relevant medical‑electronics experience since qualifying.
* Knowledge of a wide range of medical equipment used in hospital and community settings.
* Full UK driving licence.
