We teach in small groups with a dedicated and experienced teaching team, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and care. We create individual learning packages to support our students' needs.
Main Duties
* Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical lessons across beauty disciplines (e.g. skincare, makeup, nails, hair removal, styling).
* Prepare students for accredited qualifications (AIM Level 1 and future VTCT awards).
* Embed safe, hygienic, and professional salon practices.
* Differentiate teaching to support diverse learning needs, including SEN learners.
* Track progress through assessments, portfolios, and client work.
* Promote employability, professionalism, and industry-ready behaviours.
* Manage classroom/salon environments and ensure all tools and equipment are safely maintained.
* Build strong links with local salons and employers to support work-related learning.
* Supervise and support teaching assistants.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, department development, and enrichment activities.
* Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and equal opportunity standards.
* Engage in professional development, meetings, and school events.

About You
Essential
* Qualified Beauty Therapist with recent and relevant industry experience.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification/experience.
* Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Completed or willing to complete Child Protection Training, and able to promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young people.
* Strong knowledge of current beauty techniques, treatments, and industry standards.
* Confident in delivering engaging, hands-on and theory-based lessons.
* Skilled in classroom and behaviour management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and support learners.
* Committed to inclusivity, equality, and professional conduct.
* Highly organised, reliable, and able to plan effective, motivating lessons.
Desirable
* Experience teaching beauty therapy in a school, college, or training setting.
* Assessor or verifier qualification (e.g. TAQA).
* Experience supporting SEN or disengaged learners.
* Links with local salons, spas, or industry professionals.
* Health & Safety and/or First Aid certification.
* Experience managing a salon environment, budget, or learning resources.
