The Agile Business Analyst assists in the development of industry-leading, easy-to-use in silico drug discovery solutions. Working closely with the Product Managers and the product development team to support the development and expansion of Cresset's portfolio of new and existing products, ultimately providing cutting edge tools to accelerate and digitize drug discovery across industry and academia.
Requirements:
* Self-motivated
* Good analytical and communication (verbal, writing) skills
* Understanding of requirements gathering techniques and how to capture requirements ready for delivery (including acceptance criteria and test scenarios)
* Conceptual modelling
* Knowledge of agile concepts and best practices (especially Scrum) applied to software development
* Understanding of drug discovery process
* Some knowledge of molecular modelling and/or medicinal chemistry is highly desirable
* Basic coding skills a plus, but not essential
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyse needs and requirements
* Work with the Product Managers to convert customer needs and requirements into user stories for the development team
* Work collaboratively with the Product Owner/Product Manager to understand the product's vision and roadmap
* Define and document functional and non-functional requirements in clear structured formats and standards
* Develop and analyse user stories, process flows, data flows and system diagrams
* Work with the Product Owner/Product Manager to manage and prioritize the Product Backlog, ensuring Backlog Items meet the Definition of Ready
* Work with the development team to ensure requirements are well understood and any impediments are quickly addressed
* Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement
* Analyse user behaviour/needs and recommend technical solutions
* Facilitate communication between the business and IT
* Work closely with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide financial support
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function
* Work in a varied, standalone role and get into tasks as well as stepping back to ensure insight is gained from the data
* Work in Excel and data tools such as Power BI to manage data and present it clearly and concisely
* Deal with a wide range of people and levels in the business
* Work with a changing business environment; Cresset continues to expand and grow rapidly
