Location: Tilbury
Salary: £42,000 - £42,500 per annum inclusive of a shift premium. Also a bi-monthly attendance bonus.
Hours: An average of 48 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off basis
Holiday Entitlement: 24 days annual leave including bank holidays
We have a great opportunity for a Class 1 LGV Driver to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service on behalf of our flour mill in Tilbury. In this role, the successful candidate will primarily service our flour customers, loading, delivering and unloading our products.
Key Accountabilities
1. Operating to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards.
2. Working proactively in line with the Company Zero Harm and Safety First strategy.
3. Operating the vehicle in accordance with current legislation.
4. Discharging bulk flour and semolina in accordance with our company safe operating procedures.
5. Completing regular safety checks on vehicles and report any issues in a timely manner to the appropriate colleagues.
6. Conducting dynamic risk assessments of delivery sites and premises to ensure safe working for self and others; reporting back any hazards/unsafe practices.
7. Maintaining clean and tidy vehicles, including inside the cab and taking good care of vehicles when operating.
8. Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork.
9. Delivering a high standard of customer service and to be a positive representative of Allied Mills at all times.
10. Delivering Allied Mills products on time and in full within the agreed time windows.
