Leisure Markets Manager
Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Leisure Markets Manager for a company in the leisure, tourism and events industry. The Leisure Markets Manager will work with travel trade partners across the world to drive groups, FITs and OTA business, nurturing existing relationships and developing new business opportunities. This will include selling and promoting the venue on both a domestic and international level, working closely with city tourism agencies and industry partners.
Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the creation and delivery of the leisure sales strategy to drive sales and meet KPIs and revenue targets
2. Manage the delivery of proactive leisure sales plans across domestic, international and social events
3. Manage direct line reports in the leisure sales team on a day-to-day basis including HR and 1-2-1 meetings
4. Assist in the effective management of the departmental budget for tradeshows and promotional activity
5. Represent the team at internal and external meetings as required
6. Work with the marketing & communications team to develop collateral that will be impactful and help drive new leisure enquiries and revenue.
7. Work with the Digital Content Executive to develop content that can be used on digital platforms targeting key markets.
8. Provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to the wider leisure sales team.
9. Work closely with the Groups Co-ordinator and operations team to ensure a seamless experience for all group guests
10. Oversee the development and distribution of all contracts for travel trade partners.
11. Assist in the creation of the annual business plan for the department.
12. Report on sales activity and sales forecasting at weekly / seasonal team planning meetings.
13. Represent the team at internal and external meetings as required.
14. Drive leisure sales and new business opportunities across domestic, national and international platforms through tactical sales plans and activity
15. Travel domestically, nationally and internationally as required.
16. Be an ambassador and represent company at both internal and external events including trade shows, site show rounds, sales calls, FAM trips and network events across all target markets.
17. Drive international visitor numbers from key markets.
18. Deliver sales activity within agreed timelines and departmental budgets to meet revenue and visitor number targets.
19. Build and maintain relationship with Tour Operators, Group Travel organisers, destination management companies, online travel agents, ground handlers and Tourism agencies that will lead to new business opportunities.
20. Capture and utilise client feedback to help shape future products and client proposals.

Person Specification:
22. 5 years' leisure business sales experience working to targets.
23. The ability to lead and manage a small team.
24. Strong knowledge of the tourism industry, stakeholders and partners.
25. The ability to work both independently and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider team.
26. To be solutions focused and work calmly under pressure with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Location
The Leisure Markets Manager role will be based in Belfast.
