Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Lancashire. Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the diverse needs we support. We aim to improve the quality of education for young people with SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We seek passionate SEN/SEND tutors committed to transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Lancashire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to enhance educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout each placement by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN/SEND teachers interested in 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, using creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approaches to boost engagement and improve educational outcomes.

SEN/SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning each teaching, tutoring, or mentoring session
* Delivering engaging, needs-based sessions to support educational and social-emotional progress
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
* Engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Working through a contract for service and paid via PAYE
* Note: No set workload or expenses coverage; insurance covers your work
* This is not a self-employed position

Minimum qualifications and experience:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* At least 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK, even for remote/online roles
Applicants with relevant teaching experience may have roles such as SENCo, SLD/MLD Teacher, Autism/ADHD Support Teacher, Intervention Specialist, or Ex-Teacher. Other relevant roles include Learning Support Assistant, Educational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist, and Inclusion Coordinator.
