The Opportunity:The role of the verification and validation lead for the physical domain is to co-ordinate the overall physical functionality, performance and constraints of the DragonFire system with the weapons system team in order to ensure the consistency of the weapon system product with system requirements and project commitments.This includes understanding, communicating and certifying all aspects of the DragonFire Physical Design for all system components, including:Environmental & EMC performancePower utilisationStorage & TransportabilityThe V & V lead will need to co-ordinate the work packages for both internal and external suppliers to develop certification strategies for the physical domain. Working with RMO's and DAs to ensure that DVP's have appropriate coverage.This role will be focused on the physical certification aspects of the systems. Although an understanding of how these sub-systems work will also be required to support product delivery.As an V and V lead, your main responsibilities will be:Provide physical design compliance statements and CM for review at system levelDesign change impact assessmentLog and track defects found during V&V activities, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them.
