Job Overview
The QHSE Manage will be responsible for the quality, health, safety and environmental processes and systems across the Interket UK site. Salary requirements dependent upon experience. This role requires excellent organisation and communication skills. Salary will be dependent upon skills / experience.
Duties
General:
* Develop Company policies and procedures in relation to Health & Safety and general company standards
* To liaise with external supporting bodies and to provide general QHSE advice to line managers and colleagues
* Coordinate and provide training for employees as required
* Generate and share performance figures and statistics.
* Prepare and maintain a disaster recovery plan for the business
Quality:
* Data collation and analysis to assist with continuous improvements across all areas
* Liaising with customers and internal departments regarding non-conformances
* Responsibility for all internal non-conformances, including complaint investigation
* Managing the external audit processes, including BRC, ISO, FSC / PEFC
* Control of Internal QA documents and internal audit procedures
* Ensure regular internal audits are carried out to ensure ISO Compliance
* Coordinate the 6 monthly management meeting and prepare reports
* Conduct product traceability exercises
* Oversee the calibration process
* Issue of maintenance schedules
* Packaging Compliance
* Ensure compliance to agreed accreditation standards
* Implementation of ISO 12647, regarding colour quality standards
Health And Safety:
* Advising the business on how to avoid hazards and ensuring a safe workplace and environment for employees
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation
* Investigation of accidents and near miss incidents and organise / chair regular H & S meetings
* Implementation and maintenance of site policies and procedures
* Control of COSHH and safety data sheets
* Risk Assessments
* Ensure First Aiders and Fire Marshalls are trained and available
* Responsibility for fire alarms, testing and site security, including intruder alarms
* Organise regular medical / health checks for employees and assist with any personal injury claims
* Conduct risk assessments and provide follow up advice
* Ensure contractors have required work permits and work safely
* Hazard and HACCP analysis
Environmental:
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
* Engaging with regulators, suppliers, customers, employees, and the local community to build partnerships and raise sustainability awareness
* Completion of Customer and External Ethical Trading Questionnaires, including SEDEX, RSQS and Ecovadis
* Organizing pollution control (including noise / LEV etc)
* Organisation of waste management, hazardous waste, recycling, conservation, and renewable energy
* CCL and Deforestation
* Climate change and Carbon Footprint compliance and understanding
Qualifications
* A qualification in any of the above areas, in addition to relevant experience is preferred.
* Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
* Experience in conducting inspections or audits within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing health and safety / quality practices.
* Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis to address complex issues effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
