Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Floor Manager to lead our front-of-house team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for every guest. As Floor Manager, you will be responsible for supervising daily floor operations, supporting staff, managing guest relations, and maintaining service quality and restaurant standards during all shifts.
Key Responsibilities:Guest Service & Floor Operations:
* Oversee and coordinate daily FOH operations during service hours.
* Greet and engage with guests, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally.
* Ensure tables are properly set and maintained, and that the dining area is clean and organized.
* Monitor wait times and assist with seating arrangements and table turnover.
Staff Supervision & Support:
* Lead and support FOH team members, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
* Assign sections and responsibilities for each shift.
* Train new front-of-house staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer service.
* Motivate the team to maintain a high standard of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
* Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, reservations, and special events.
Coordination & Communication:
* Act as a communication bridge between the kitchen and the service team to ensure smooth order flow.
* Coordinate with the Bar and Kitchen teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
* Communicate any operational issues or guest feedback to the Restaurant Manager.
Operational Duties:
* Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
* Assist in inventory checks and ordering supplies related to FOH needs.
* Monitor POS transactions and ensure proper billing and cash handling by staff.
* Close out the floor at the end of the shift, completing shift reports and ensuring a clean handover.
Qualifications:
* 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
* Good understanding of restaurant service, POS systems, and customer service best practices.
* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or coursework is a plus.
