Store Manager
As a Store Manager at Booker, you’ll use your skills to help our business grow, ensuring we meet customers’ needs by building rapport with local business owners across a range of sectors—including cafes, pubs, restaurants, caterers, retailers and more—and helping all types of businesses thrive.
Booker is a leading food and drink wholesaler with over 190 cash‑and‑carry branches, eight distribution centres and several dedicated logistics sites across the UK. Our stores, known as Business Centres, primarily serve local B2C customers, contributing to the towns and communities where they’re based.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships with local businesses.
* Drive sales while managing and supporting the store team.
* Take full responsibility for operational performance, ensuring health, safety and legal compliance.
* Use initiative to improve the customer experience and increase store profitability.
* Oversee online and delivery services in addition to shop‑floor operations.
Qualifications
* Experience in the food sector or a relevant retail/wholesale environment.
* Strong managerial skills with the ability to shape and develop teams.
* Commercially minded, disciplined and detail‑oriented.
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for the store’s success.
* Capable of working across multiple business areas, including online and delivery services.
