CarePlus Employability Services deliver two strands under one service -Employability and Supported Employment.

Employabilitysupport the worklessness agenda of North East Lincolnshire, delivering aholistic approach to supporting unemployed people on a pathway to sustainableemployment. They deliver various employability initiatives includingvoluntary work-based learning, pre apprenticeships, apprenticeships,internships and intermediate labour market opportunities. They aim to empowerlocal people to become socially included within their communities, whilst alsobreaking down barriers to employment.

SupportedEmployment is a work-based employment team that provides a flexible servicebased on individual needs. Supported Employment supports people with learningand physical disabilities to access employment in both paid and voluntary workby partnership working with other organisations and employers within thepublic, private and third sector.


Main duties of the job

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Department: Employability Services

Location: Val Waterhouse Centre

20 hours per week(permanent)

Salary Range 3 Point 12 £24,100 pro rata per annum- fixed salarypoint, pay award pending

The postholder is to provide a comprehensive range of administrative services tosupport the effective running of the service, including providing a professional response to enquiries, straightforward complaints andcommunications from callers, patients and volunteers, taking and transcribing complex minutes, and processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail (including electronic). You will also use Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to produce a range of documents including letters, reports and presentations as directed and provide planning and organisational support for the service e.g. staff rota, service user appointments and effectivediary management.

Skills and Knowledge

* Ability to effectively manage own workload
* Accurate data input and word processing
* Accurate minute taking
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both face to face and over the phone.
* Ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels
* Effective customer care skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Effective communication skills, both face to face and over the phone.
* Ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients/patients.

Experience

* Minimum of 6 months administration/reception experience.
* Experience of data input, spread sheets/statistics.
* Competent in Microsoft office including Word, Outlook & Excel
* Stock control
* Diary management
* Servicing meetings
* SystemOne
* Experience of working with people with varying levels of communication skills/abilities
* Experience of working in a care environment
* Supervisory experience


Qualifications

* Level 3 or equivalent qualification in computer applications
* Level 2 NVQ Business Administration
* Business Administration level 3


Other

* Ability to work flexibly with regard to working hours/arrangements

£24,100 a yearpro rata per annum, pay award pending
