English Teacher
Location: New Barn School - River View House, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 2PSS
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

As part of our continued growth, we are delighted to invite applications for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Secondary Teacher to join our committed team at New Barn School - River View House.
Key responsibilities include planning, delivering and assessing engaging, tailored English lessons, developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) with clear targets, adapting teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and additional needs, building strong relationships, creating a stimulating learning environment, and monitoring progress.

* Build strong, positive relationships that motivate and engage learners
* Create a stimulating learning environment, including opportunities beyond the classroom
* Monitor progress and support pupils to achieve positive, meaningful outcomes
Qualifications:
* A qualified teacher (UK QTS or equivalent)
* Experienced in teaching English to a high standard
* Knowledgeable about current curriculum and educational practice
* Passionate about supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
* Resilient, adaptable and committed to going above and beyond for young people
* Not applicable for ECT/NQT/Instructor
