Role Purpose:

Business Partner with the Channel & Customer Director and their team with the shared ambition to drive revenue growth and win market share. Co-build Joint Business Plans aligned to Category strategies, provide insights & analysis and ensure the forecast is robust. Support to mitigate risks from plans and influence resource allocation to convert opportunities.

Commercial Business Partnering:

1. Be the main finance point of contact to the Channel & Customer Director and their team to drive performance for KPIs across four categories.
2. Engage with Channel & Customer teams, providing analysis and commentary throughout the monthly cycle, collaborating with Category Finance.
3. Build, understand, and animate customer P&Ls, sharing insights and recommendations with wider stakeholder groups across Finance and cross-functional teams.
4. Challenge trade investment and terms, ensuring adherence to RGM guidelines to optimize the promotion plan.
5. Lead volume, mix, and price analysis for the channel.

Month end activities:

6. Lead month end closing activities working closely with the Invoice to Cash team to deliver on-time, accurate P&L topline reporting.
7. Internal audit controls including working with Auditors at year end on accruals management.

Systems and continuous improvement:

8. Develop detailed working knowledge of systems and drive new reports and processes to meet the changing requirements of the business and stakeholders.
9. Proactively seek more efficient ways of working in the team and across the business.
10. Support cross-functional capability building.

About You

11. Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
12. Excellent communication and ability to cascade information across different functions
13. Finance systems & processes including advanced excel skills
14. P&L management
15. Variance analysis
16. Commercial focus with an understanding of customer dynamics, ideally FMCG

Salary Bracket: The salary on offer for this role is between £50,000 - £60,000
