Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport Clerk to join our logistics team. Duties Coordinate and schedule transportation activities using advanced transportation management systems (TMS) to ensure timely delivery of goods. Manage communication with carriers, suppliers, and clients and B2B sales channels to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and logistics providers to optimise costs while maintaining service quality. Oversee the utilisation of systems for electronic data interchange to streamline order processing and shipment tracking. Assist in lead generation activities related to logistics services by analysing supply chain data and market trends. Support sales management efforts by providing logistical insights and coordinating customer requirements efficiently. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA standards, during transportation processes. Collaborate with internal teams on logistics planning, including supply chain optimisation and scheduling. Requirements Proven experience working with transportation management systems (TMS). Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, 3PL operations, and B2B sales processes. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable rates while maintaining service standards. Proficiency in data entry, record keeping, and utilisation of logistics-related software tools. Knowledge of FDA regulations pertaining to transportation and handling of regulated products. Experience in lead generation within the logistics or supply chain sector is desirable. Organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for liaising effectively with internal teams, carriers, clients, and suppliers.
