Enablement Worker (Nights) We have an exciting opportunity for permanent, Part Time, Enablement Workers (Waking Nights) night-time Enablement Worker to join Southampton City Council (SCC) in the Kentish Road Respite Service. The Enablement Worker will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity, and complex needs during waking night shifts. What You’ll Be Doing As an Enablement Worker, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and comfort of individuals staying at Kentish Road respite care home overnight. You’ll work as part of a small, focused team, delivering consistent support and responding to needs as they arise. Role Responsibilities: Enablement Workers will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of individuals overnight. They will supervise Support Workers, assist with personal care and medication, maintain a safe and hygienic environment, and respond to emergencies in accordance with safety protocols. Responsibilities include: Providing support, supervision to Support Workers and role modelling best practices to ensure the quality-of-service delivery i.e.: Contributing to continuous service improvement and participating in the monitoring and evaluation of service delivery Monitoring and supporting individuals throughout the night to ensure safety and comfort. Assisting with personal care and medication in line with individual care plans. Responding to emotional and physical needs with sensitivity and professionalism. Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with day staff and families. Maintaining a safe and safe, secure, and comfortable environment. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking individuals who: Have experience or lived experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs. Hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or are willing to work towards it). Are confident working independently and as part of a team.
