SEN Teaching Assistant Wakefield
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: GBP95 - GBP105 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Wakefield area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs reach their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, social/emotional needs, and communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and confidence-building
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCO
About You

A passion for supporting children of all abilities
Teamwork skills and a willingness to learn
(Desirable) Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or other SEN training
