Huntsman have an opportunity for a Logistics Auxiliary with excellent communication and organisational skills, to join our manufacturing plant in Llanelli.
This is an exciting opportunity join an established team to fulfil Supply Chain duties as directed by Logistics Management. The duties are expected to be performed in accordance with Logistics procedures to safely deliver against the shipping plan for Llanelli Plant.
This is a contractor position, offering an opportunity to contribute on a fixed-term basis.
Additionally, as the Logistics Auxiliary, you will:
1. Load bulk finished product (hazardous and non-hazardous) into road tankers for shipment.
2. Unload bulk raw materials (hazardous and non-hazardous) from road tankers into site storage facility.
3. Unload packed raw materials into site storage facility for product blending.
4. Operate the drumming line by filling drums and IBC’s with finished product ready for shipment.
5. Load shipping containers and curtain sided trucks with packed finished products for shipment using counterbalance fork trucks.
6. Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met in area of work.
7. Liaise with all other colleagues on site departments to ensure related targets are being met (for example Laboratory and Maintenance).
8. Participate and contribute towards safety and other improvement initiatives to meet site goals including reporting hazards / near misses / incidents, safety suggestions and raising maintenance requests.
Requirements:
9. An understanding of the importance of personal safety, ideally on a hazardous site.
10. Can do attitude with excellent team working skills.
11. Good organizational and communication skills.
12. Ability to work to tight deadlines, with an expectation to work overtime or shifts either during the week or weekends as and when necessary.
13. Holding an RTITB Operator license (Preferable).
14. Dangerous Goods Awareness Training (Preferable).
