As a Business Analyst you will document the needs and requirements of external and internal stakeholders around the globe, exploring new methodologies, technologies, and platforms, to improve customer experience and enhance Cambridge University Press & Assessment's operational capabilities.

About the role
This role is based within the English Analyst Team – a team of Business and Operations Analysts with an excellent track record for successfully delivering change on a diverse range of projects and programmes.
Business Analysts provide support for complex business and technology change initiatives throughout the project stakeholder. You will be responsible for analysing the needs of business stakeholders to facilitate the meeting of needs and ensuring benefits realisation, acting as a bridge between the business and development teams.
Main accountabilities include but not limited to:
1. Investigation of business situations using relevant business analysis techniques to identify and evaluate options for improvement, and articulating how changes will meet business and customer needs across the English product group.
2. Develop and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and other relevant documentation for business processes and projects, using logical, analytical techniques to assist the business in delivering change while collaborating with stakeholders across the business as required.
3. Mentoring, coaching, supporting and, where appropriate managing, other analysts to develop their own practice.
About you
You are a highly motivated individual who adds value, clarity, and energy to contribute to the successful delivery of initiatives. You will be comfortable working within a project structure to provide relevant deliverables based on stakeholder needs but also willing to make decisions about the best way to support a project and make suggestions for how to meet goals. You will have a successful track record of providing analysis support to technology change projects in large, complex organisations. You will also be keen to support the continued professional development of other members of the team, providing support to the Principal Business Analyst where appropriate to lead a large team with a diverse range of skills – for the right candidate there may also be the opportunity to line manage other members of the team.
To be a successful member of English Analyst Team, we are looking for some who:
4. Has a Deep knowledge and application of industry standard tools and methodologies including BPMN, UML, data modelling, data mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis, amongst others.
5. Is Skilled in adapting ways of working to suit various scenarios, running workshops, and managing stakeholder relationships to deliver successful change and consensus.
6. Can articulate testable, high-quality, and fit for purpose requirements, and is experienced in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies.
7. Has excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as required to meet deadlines.
