About The Role
Please note: This vacancy is for Days, 33hrs per week, working over a seven-day rota.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll build relationships with residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Your tasks may involve assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, all with kindness as your guiding principle. You will also support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing social and recreational activities and administering medication.
Maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships are key aspects of this role.
Ideally, you'll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. Most importantly, you should have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, good record-keeping abilities, and effective time management. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
