As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a dedicated care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to older people. You will help ensure that care is delivered with dignity, compassion and professionalism, while contributing to a safe, welcoming and well-run service.

This role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibility, support colleagues in their development and make a positive difference to the everyday lives of those you support.

What your role will involve

Leading and supporting care staff on shift, acting as a role model for best practice
Providing hands-on care and support to service users in line with individual care plans
Supporting medication administration and ensuring accurate records are maintained
Contributing to care planning, reviews and day-to-day decision making
Promoting a safe, comfortable and respectful environment at all times
Supporting new staff, students and less experienced colleagues
Working closely with the Service Manager and wider team to maintain high standards of care

About you

You are a confident, compassionate and experienced care professional who is comfortable leading others and supporting high standards of care. You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, be registered with the SSSC, and be a member of the PVG Scheme. You bring a calm, supportive and professional approach to your work and are comfortable working within and supporting our Christian ethos.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
