Job Overview
My client is a leading fabrication and engineering business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Working across a days and nights shift pattern, my client seeks an experienced CNC Miller to work on Mazak 5 Axis machinery.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications
* Support Engineering during program prove‑out
* Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised
* Follow quality policies and procedures
* Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision
* Maintain product traceability
* Prepare and load materials on machines
* Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime
* Run multiple machines when requested
* Mentor apprentices and colleagues
Qualifications
* Time‑served CNC Machinist with demonstrable skills and experience using Mazak 5 Axis
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
* Competent at maintaining tight tolerances
