Overview
Job information: Experienced Store Person at Paradigm Woodworking, located in Morley, United Kingdom. This job is for candidates with the latest education / graduate GCSE.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the Joinery Stores and provide continual support to the management team and production departments.
* Manage and control stock, handle deliveries and incoming materials, ensure safe handling of goods, manage repairs and non-conformance materials, and use IT computer software.
* Support the Transport team, which may include using a company vehicle for collections & deliveries, booking transport/couriers, and assisting with loading or unloading of goods.
* Ensure deliveries are checked and recorded, report damages and discrepancies, liaise with Works Manager and Production teams on requirements, orders, deliveries and the issue of goods and equipment.
* Create and maintain adequate stock control systems and procedures; ensure stores requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner; undertake formal stock control procedures to maintain appropriate stock levels.
* Support Health & Safety requirements, including manual handling and safe working practices for hazardous substances; ensure stores areas are clean and contents are securely stored.
* Prepare purchase orders for suppliers when requested; deal with internal and external enquiries regarding orders and purchases; respond promptly to supplier requests.
* Assist Works Manager & Transport Department in booking courier & freight services; participate in out-of-hours operations and overtime when required.
* Understand urgency in allocating materials for production and dispatch teams.
* Perform duties commensurate with the post holder’s level as needed to achieve company objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience in stock management; ideally involved in buying goods and services.
* Good communication, planning and organizational skills.
* Proactive attitude; ability to work independently using initiative.
* High level of professionalism and integrity.
* Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
* Experience: Stores – 3 years (required); customer service – 1 year (preferred).
* Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required); Forklift License (Counter Balance) (required).

* Salary: From £12.50 - 13.00 per hour
* Expected hours: 39 - 45 per week
* Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, Overtime, Weekend availability
