Qualified (ACCA / ACA) Finance Manager career opportunity working for a fantastic business based in Berkhamsted.
1. Hybrid working
2. 36 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays) + buy up to 3 days
As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a broad range of financial and accounting functions, including:
Month-End Reporting
3. Lead the month-end close process across all entities
4. Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts
5. Conduct detailed expense code reviews to identify anomalies or exceptional costs
6. Prepare monthly profit and loss statements with variance analysis andmentary
Financial Planning & Control
7. Manage budgeting and cash flow forecasting activities
8. Oversee cost control measures and banking operations
9. Review and approve supplier payment runs
10. Monitor and review bank reconciliations and purchase ledger entries
11. Provide backup support for purchase ledger and bank transaction processing
Team Leadership
12. Supervise and develop two accounts assistants
13. Collaborate with department managers to deliver financial insights that support strategic decisions
Payroll &pliance
14. Submit payroll data for external processing
15. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax filings, including VAT returns, CT61s, and P11Ds
Statutory & Regulatory Reporting
16. Liaise with external accountants to support year-end reporting
Stakeholder Engagement
17. Report directly to thepany Directors
18. Participate in ad hoc financial projects as required
