Commercial Manager (Senior Quantity Surveyor) Trinity Fire & Security – Part of Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) Location: Derby (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £80,000 10% bonus Company Car/Allowance Trinity Fire & Security are looking for a commercially sharp Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a Commercial Manager role — or an experienced Commercial Manager looking for a business where you can genuinely own the function. This is a standalone position with real responsibility and autonomy. You’ll take full ownership of the commercial performance across a busy portfolio of Fire & Security installation projects, working closely with Project Managers and M&E contractors to ensure contracts are watertight, projects stay commercially on track and revenue is recovered efficiently. We’re replacing a long-standing team member who is retiring, so ideally we’d like someone in post around April/May to allow a proper handover and introduction to systems and live projects. A strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts is essential — this is non-negotiable. The Role You’ll oversee the full commercial lifecycle across multiple M&E installation projects covering fire alarm, intruder and detection systems. Key duties include: Reviewing and managing NEC3 contracts, identifying risks and opportunities Monitoring early warning notices, variations and change control Managing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Working closely with Project Managers to track progress and cash position Identifying and chasing revenue to maintain strong cash flow Managing commercial relationships with M&E subcontractors and partners Supporting negotiations and resolving commercial challenges Liaising with the in-house legal team on contractual matters when required This is a busy role that requires someone comfortable working independently, making decisions and taking ownership.
