We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of an Admin Assistant, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £17.45 per hour

Summary:

Cardiff Council Childrens Services is seeking a dedicated and efficient Admin Assistant (Grade 4) to provide high-quality administrative support within our Childrens Home. This vital role supports the smooth operation of services for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

Working as part of a multi-professional team, you will contribute to a service that is strengths-based and trauma-informed, ensuring that every child and young person is supported in a compassionate, safe, and structured environment.

You will deliver a professional administrative service, maintaining accurate records, managing data, and supporting operational needs to help the team deliver the highest standard of care.


Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the residential team, ensuring the smooth running of office operations.
* Maintain and update records, databases, and spreadsheets accurately and securely in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements.
* Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation as required by management and care staff.
* Support meetings by taking minutes or notes and circulating them promptly.
* Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and postal correspondence.

Requirments:

* Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a social care, education, or public sector environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
* Experience of taking minutes or notes during meetings.
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.

Please note:

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
* This role requires an Enhanced DBS
