Water Hall Primary School is a vibrant and exciting school committed to providing all children aged 3-11 a rich and diverse educational experience. The school has approximately 200 students and 34 staff. The site consists of a single building.

We are seeking a talented and committed Reading Recovery Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Position Details

* This role will focus mainly on Reading and Writing to support children of all ages across the school.
* This is a fixed-term 2-year contract until 31 August 2027. Continued employment beyond this date may be considered based on the needs of the school.
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

The successful candidate will:

* Have experience of working with pupils in an educational setting.
* Be proficient in both written and spoken English
* Be resilient, cheerful, patient, and flexible.
* Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
* Be prepared to work across the school, providing one-on-one or group support to pupils who require additional help with their reading and writing skills.
* Be able to deliver targeted interventions to individuals or groups of pupils.
* Participate in school activities and initiatives to ensure pupils receive the highest quality of education.
* Hold a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths GCSE or an equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of Read Write Inc. would be beneficial.
