Sales Lead / Trade & Wholesale Sales Lead - Online Flooring Sales. Carpet Roles UK are excited to be assisting a leading Birmingham based online Flooring Seller in their plans to build their senior management team in order to facilitate and manage the excellent growth that they are seeing (started just 5 Years ago) the Business has grown exponentially and now has an impressive logistical network of distribution warehouses and a fast growing team based in the West of Birmingham (Near the M5 at Halesowen exit to approach), in this instance we are seeking a Flooring Professional that can develop Business, selling as they go and building a team and a senior role for themselves as the Business grows. What is sought: A strong individual contributor who possesses the ability to sell effectively. A proficient commercial closer, with a focus on trade accounts rather than retail showroom sales. Experience in managing trade accounts, wholesale operations, and converting inbound leads. Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, eCommerce-driven environment. Adept at building pipelines, fostering customer relationships, establishing trade connections, and managing wholesale accounts. A background in flooring, interiors, or trade is preferred. Willing to commence in a lean capacity and transition into a leadership role as the team develops. This role is not an area manager or field sales position, nor is it a traditional sales representative role. Our Clients are a fully e-commerce business and intend to maintain this model; therefore, the role is primarily office-based and centred on: Online B2C customer Sales. Trade accounts, Wholesale relationship development. Day to Day Duties: Inbound and outbound sales conducted via phone, email, and WhatsApp. Structuring and expanding online sales rather than engaging in territory-based selling. As the role develops a hands on leadership / training element will become an additional part of the role. You will therefore be: A Flooring Sales Professional. IT / Online Sales savvy. Proactive and Creative in approach to selling and Customer Service. Capable of building a team and managing their performance in the future. Rewards: Basic Salary is negotiable in a range of £32-42k to start, performance will bring significant rewards down the line! Furthermore, for the sales role, there is consideration for the introduction of performance-based incentives linked to both direct and indirect sales contributions, structured sensibly and capped to safeguard the business. The proposed incentives are: 3–5% on gross profit, or 1–2% on revenue (the latter being simpler and more common in the flooring industry, as it is understood). Our Clients additionally operate a company-wide profit-sharing bonus that is activated only if the business meets its targets, which ranges from 10% to 20% of the annual salary, contingent upon contribution, impact, and behaviour.
