£12.33 per hour, depending on experience
Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you have a full driving license with a C1 entitlement, which allows you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tons Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), and hold a digital tachograph card, you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK's largest Healthcare Charity.
A full Driver Qualification card (CPC) is advantageous but full training is available.
As a Driver on our Bristol HSSU team, you're comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. You should have a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation, and ideally hold a digital tachograph card. You'll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers' first point of contact.
What We're Looking For
* A full driving licence with a C1 entitlement (allows you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW)
* Confidence in manual handling, including moving transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg
* Basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation
* A digital tachograph card (preferred)
* A friendly and professional attitude, as you will be the first point of contact for our customers
Key Responsibilities
* Collect and deliver medical equipment using 5.2T vehicles
* Receive and check deliveries from customers
* Ensure equipment is in good working order and report any faults
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment
* Keep accurate tachograph records and documentation
