This position is for 4 days/week, 38 weeks a year. Working hours are 08.00-15.30.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to students, helping them access and thrive in mainstream education. Your patience, understanding, and commitment will be key in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Employed by Philip Southcote School, you will be working in our Southcote Centre which is based in Epsom and Ewell High School. The Southcote Centre Staff work with Epsom and Ewell School to provide a bespoke curriculum for each student. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other educational professionals to implement annual review targetsand adapt classroom activities to meet the diverse needs of our students. You will assist with academic tasks, provide one-on-one support, and help students develop social and communication skills. Your role will also involve monitoring student progress, offering feedback, and collaborating with teachers, parents and guardians to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to support students with learning and additional needs. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in education or special needs support is highly desirable.
