We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team to assist in the maintenance of various train mechanical and electrical systems.
Requirements
Carry out fault finding on various mechanical and electrical systems
1. Carry out reactive maintenance on various mechanical and electrical systems
2. Liaise with equipment manufacturers with regards to fault finding and repairs
3. Working closely with the Facilities Manager to prioritise repairs to reduce the impact on Production
4. Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends and bank holidays
5. Adhere to all working procedures
6. Advise Facilities Manager of any defects identified and propose solutions
7. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in all areas of the site
8. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload on a daily basis
9. Ensure machine downtime is kept to a minimum
10. Ensure that tasks are completed and working areas are left clean and tidy
11. Take care of all working property and handle it in a safe manner ensuring it is returned to its proper location upon completion of works
12. Be responsible for quality of work undertaken, ensuring it meets required standards.
Your experience
13. Good standard of literacy and spoken English
14. Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
15. Trained in fault finding techniques, root cause analysis, and team working
16. Experience of maintenance within an industrial environment
17. Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
18. Flexible approach to constantly changing priorities
19. Good communicator on all levels, able to work with people at all levels of the business
20. Able to work at height
21. Scissor Lift and Cherry Picker Licenses
22. PC & IT literate
