Division Manager, Drive Products UK
Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for driving the sales strategy and G2M model for sales of Drive Products within the UK OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and industrial market sector, aligned with the division strategy. This includes low voltage drives, PLC & HMI offering to different types of OEMs across different segments and applications within the UK market. Delivers both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Responsible to identify and develop new OEM sales opportunities. • Sales of Drive Products to OEM customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the local division. • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand their needs, increases their understanding of ABB's Drive Products offering, and aligns with them to provide a solution and leverages cross-division synergies. • Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. • Prepares OEM sales plan for the short-medium term using ABB authorized tools. • Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s), in case of any potential order shortfalls. • Creates added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals, by using effective sales techniques. • Communicates to the customers about the details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy. • Ensures efficient marketing activities, develops and communicates value proposition to customers. • Manages administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed. • Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. • Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are in place, including prices and trading conditions.
Qualifications for the role
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Experience of automation equipment preferred.
* More than 5 years of front-end customer facing sales experience.
* Considerable experience in Portfolio Management channel sales and Regulation & Legal Compliance
