Vehicle Technician Vacancy - Corby Independent Garage
1. Position: Vehicle Technician
2. Location: Corby
3. Basic Salary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience)
4. Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
5. 1-in-2 Saturday Mornings
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a highly regarded, independent service and repair centre in Corby.
You’ll be working in a well-equipped Workshop with multiple ramps, MOT bays, and electric/hybrid vehicle facilities. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, friendly team with excellent support from an approachable management team.
Regular duties for this Vehicle Technician postion:
6. Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
7. Performing diagnostic checks and fault finding
8. Timing belt and clutch replacements
9. Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) and accurate use of the Garage Management System
10. Liaising with Service Advisors and customers where necessary
11. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
12. Helping maintain a safe, clean, and professional workshop environment
Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role:
13. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential
14. Full UK Driving Licence
15. 3+ years’ experience as a mechanic (preferred)
16. MOT Tester certification (preferred but not essential)
17. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
18. Own tools required (specialist tools and diagnostic equipment are provided)
19. Hybrid/Electric vehicle experience advantageous
