Urology Outpatient Nurse – 18 Week Support
Job Summary
A registered nurse with experience in outpatient settings will support the Urology Outpatients Team. The role involves clinical support and patient coordination for urology diagnostic and treatment clinics, particularly Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) biopsies and flexible cystoscopy services. You will maintain patient dignity and comfort while assisting with minor surgical procedures and consultations.
Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients attending urology outpatient procedures.
* Prepare and manage clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies.
* Assist urologists with procedures, including patient positioning, local anaesthetic administration, and equipment handling.
* Deliver patient education and aftercare advice.
* Ensure effective infection prevention and control measures.
* Accurately document care delivered and contribute to quality improvement.
Person Specification
* Minimum 2 years experience within an outpatient setting.
* Experience in urology outpatients for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
* Current UK professional registration.
* Knowledge of and experience with LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures.

Contract type: Ad‑hoc, weekend shifts
Hours: 8:00 – 18:00
