Job Title: Jaguar Land Rover Technician
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm; Saturday morning on a rota basis
Location: Jaguar Land Rover Newport
Position pays: £27,000 to £40,000 OTE (depending on level of experience)
Overview
As a qualified Vehicle Technician you will be at the heart of our customer experience, keeping them on the road and taking pride in a job well done. Working with a talented team and some of the best equipment in the business, you'll repair, service and care for all kinds of vehicles – identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meeting demanding quality and safety standards. You will work to MOT and manufacturer standards, delivering customer satisfaction and public safety while minimising costs for the customer.
Responsibilities
* Repair, service and diagnose vehicles to MOT and manufacturer standards.
* Identify faults, perform improvements, and keep accurate records of work carried out.
* Ensure work meets quality and safety standards and contributes to customer satisfaction.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to explain repairs and post-service information.
* Maintain product knowledge and participate in mentoring and development opportunities.
* Check level and quality of work using diagnostic equipment, self-quality checks, and road testing where appropriate.
Qualifications and experience
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers.
* Commitment to ongoing product, brand and industry knowledge through mentoring and development opportunities.
* Practical knowledge of working on electric vehicles is desirable.
* Experience in a retailer environment and mentoring junior team members is advantageous.
